Seafreight/Airfreight Shipping Terms:

FIS = Free Into Store
FOB = Freight On Board
C&F = Cost & Freight
CIF = Cost, Insurance & Freight

INCOTERMS = International Terms Of Trade

FCL = Full Container Load
LCL = Less Than Container Load
FAK = Freight of All Kinds

L/C = Letter of Credit

ETA/ETD =Estimated Time of Arrival / Departure

M3 = Cubic Metre e.g.: W.60XH.40XL.40 = 0.096M3
KG = Kilogram

CY/CY = Container Yard to Container Yard
CFS/CFS = Container Freight Station to Container Freight Station

Transshipment vs Direct Shipment:

Transshipment are when your goods are shipped (sea or air) indirect, eg: USA to Australia via Singapore.

Direct shipments happen when your goods come direct from port of loading (sea or air) to port of discharge, eg: USA ports direct to Port of Melbourne.
