EASTER AND ANZAC DAY 2025

With the Easter and ANZAC day long weekends fast approaching, many of us are looking forward to a well-earned break. This will mean public holidays on Friday 18/04/2025, Monday 21/04/2025 and Friday 25/04/2025.

We anticipate, as historically occurs, this 4-day period will bring with it both challenges and delays across the industry. As a transport provider, we will be at the mercy of empty container park (ECP) opening hours and wharf timeslot availability. Given the short weeks either side of the long weekend, our fleet will be working around the clock to service deliveries and empty de-hires and we appreciate all your patience during this period. Unfortunately, Loch M. Fraser cannot be liable for demurrage incurred over this period. Please reach out to shipping lines and apply for leniency, flexibility or additional free time to avoid the potential detention charges that may result from reduced ECP availability.

The upcoming vessel schedule into Melbourne's ports may also necessitate container collections over both the public holidays and the weekend to avoid wharf storage costs. As a result, a Public Holiday surcharge will be applied to all containers collected over the 4 day Easter period and a weekend surcharge for the weekend after ANZAC day. You will be notified by our customer service team if this affects any of your containers.
