QANTAS FREIGHT - ENHANCED NSW

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received an industry update from Qantas Freight regarding a new upgrade. 

The notice reads as follows:

We've completed a series of infrastructure upgrades at our Kingsford Smith Airport freighter terminal to improve efficiency, safety and cargo handling capacity.

What's new:

• Two new cool rooms and two ambient rooms, each with three pallet capacity for improved temperature-controlled storage.
• All roller doors upgraded to Q7 height enabling smoother freight movement.
• New bypass lane with multi-directional access to ease on-site traffic flow.
• Automated roller deck for faster, more efficient holding storage.
• Landside dolly interface system enhancing integration between landside and airside operations.

These upgrades are part of our ongoing investment in infrastructure to support growing customer demand and deliver a more streamlined freight experience.
