UPDATED WEEKLY FUEL LEVY – EFFECTIVE SUNDAY 12 APRIL 2026

Dear Valued Customer,

Global fuel markets have become increasingly volatile in recent weeks, largely due to escalating tensions in the Middle East. This has disrupted global oil supply and led to significant increases in diesel prices across Australia.

According to the Australian Institute of Petroleum (AIP), the average Terminal Gate Price (TGP) for diesel increased by between 29.2% and 30.7% across Australian cities in just one week (Wednesday 4 March to Tuesday 10 March).

As a result, the updated fuel levy below will take effect from Sunday, 12 April 2026. The weekly cycle will run from Sunday to Saturday.

Fuel Levy Rates:

  • VIC – 45.29%
  • NSW – 51.67%
  • BRIS – 44.36%
  • TSVL – 45.36%
  • WA – 44.37%
  • SA – 51.80%

Fuel represents a significant component of container transport operating costs. To ensure we can continue delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable services, it is necessary to adjust our fuel levy accordingly.

Due to ongoing market volatility, Loch M. Fraser will now review the fuel levy on a weekly basis, rather than monthly. Adjustments will be made as required to reflect current market conditions, and we expect this approach to continue until markets stabilise.

The weekly fuel levy will be published each Wednesday, effective from the following Sunday, and will be available on our website.

We understand that changes of this nature can be challenging and appreciate your continued understanding and support during this period.

If you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our team.

Thank you,
Danny
