| Kingsford Smith freight terminal update Updated 29 June 2026 We are currently experiencing delays due to temporary operational issues at our Sydney Kingsford Smith freight terminal. We know this can be frustrating and apologise to impacted customers. The terminal has been managing a significant increase in inbound freight, including cargo redirected through Sydney following changes to global freight flows since the onset of the Middle East conflict. This has been further compounded by temporary equipment issues, which reduced processing capacity. A range of initiatives are in place to support recovery. The key equipment issue has now been resolved, with the machinery returned to full operation. Resourcing has also been bolstered, with further uplift continuing to support ongoing recovery. At the same time, freight movements through the terminal are being closely monitored so any emerging blockages can be identified and addressed quickly. We are also working directly with customers to provide additional pick-up windows and progress further options to improve throughput and minimise delays. Our teams remain focused on restoring normal operations as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience while these improvements continue to take effect. We apologise for any inconvenience and will share further updates as they become available.
