Damaging winds, heavy rainfall set to hit Queensland, NSW as east coast low tracks south

Wild weather is set to play havoc across south-east Queensland and northern New South Wales today and tomorrow as an east coast low moves south along the coast.

Isolated falls of up to 400 millimetres, damaging winds with peak gusts of about 90 kilometres per hour, flash flooding and water levels exceeding the highest tide of the year by about half-a-metre are expected in parts of both states in the coming day.
