BRISBANE PORT SUBSTANTIAL WEATHER EVENT

Monday, November 14, 2016

Brisbane Port has been impacted by a substantial weather event this afternoon, with winds recorded at over 150klm/hr at Brisbane Airport and the Port of Brisbane.

Please feel free to forward this to your own clients for their record and notice.

Expect delays in your deliveries of all  containers (and possible non-deliveries)  for the next few days. This will have an enormous impact on our entire operations.  Please REFRAIN from calling and emailing our office as we will be working to inform all affected parties to the best of our abilities. Note: your emails or calls may go unanswered as we deal with the impact of these events.

Both DPW and Patricks have reported substantial damage. We are also aware that Chalmers Mt Park has lost many stacks of containers and am expecting other parks to have been affected also.

LMF has been directly impacted in a few empty container stacks.

DPW is closed until further notice and Patricks have advised to contact the terminal to ensure your container can be collected.

We have over 100 cntrs to collect from both terminals tomorrow as a single carrier alone, so please be patient as we work with all parties to ensure the safe collection and delivery of your containers.

We will do our best to keep you informed, however we trust you can appreciate that the task will be enormous to advise all parties directly affected in a timely manner.

Please BE PATIENT in your dealings with our office as we work through the notices, slots and deliveries. We will not be able to give you any more information until we receive this ourselves from all parties and as stated, we are but 1 carrier of many that will be affected.
