DELAYS, PORT CONGESTION, SURCHARGES TO AUSTRALIA

 


As previously advised and on top of what has already been a challenging year, we continue to receive notices globally about delays, port congestion, surcharges & rates are the highest we have seen in 20 years.  Below is a brief on the current situation at the main ports.

 

CHINA & ASIA

 

There continues to be space and equipment shortages out of all main ports, vessels are at capacity and delays vary from a couple of days to 7 plus on departure and up to 3-4 weeks at connecting port Singapore.

 

There have been parts of ASIA, EG Thailand & Vietnam not accepting any bookings up to 3-4 weeks due to vessels being over capacity.

 

 

USA/MEXICO

 

Vessel are over capacity and all main ports have potential congestion, some having 3-4 week delays.

 

We have been advised by the shipping lines & agents, though shipping lines are accepting bookings, first available ETD's are currently pushed out to end of November, start of December.

 

NEW ZEALAND

 

Vessel are over capacity, currently first available departures are end of November, start of December. NEW ZEALAND port congestion surcharge of USD200.00/40ft & USD400.00/40ft will apply.

 

GERMANY/ANTWERP

 

Once again vessel are over capacity, currently first available departures are end of November, start of December, port congestion at connecting port Singapore.

 

AUSTRALIAN PORTS

 

As previously advised, there is port congestion at all Australian ports, additional days will be dependent on current congestion as each vessel enters each Australian port.  Port Congestion surcharge applies at all ports, USD300.00/20ft & USD600.00/40ft.  LCL Congestion Surcharge dependant on Co-Loader USD10.00-USD20.00 per CBM
